Van Dyck in England: The King's Principal Painter & his Caroline Legacy

We are holding a special winter exhibition (28 November to 20 December) dedicated to the profound and transformative influence of Sir Anthony Van Dyck on portraiture in 17th century England.

Portraits will range from the Jacobean to the Caroline courts, with works by the Master and his Studio, as well as Cornelius Johnson, Sir Peter Lely, Adriaen Hanneman, and John Michael Wright among others.
